About the Rosary ...

The Rosary is a prayer throughout the Church. It is Christocentric, meditative and repetitive, ie through the repetition of a few tens of Hail Marys, one meditates on the life of Jesus Christ.

Traditionally, the Rosary is composed of three strings, each corresponding to a series of five mysteries: the
  1. joyful mysteries concerning the Incarnation and the hidden life of Jesus,
  2. the sorrowful mysteries for the passion, and finally
  3. glorious mysteries for the triumph of the Resurrection.

Each mystery to meditate and say 10 Hail Mary ; it happens, the entire Rosary, the total number of 150 angelic salutations, which correspond to the 150 Psalms of the Old Testament.

The Joyful Mysteries are said on Mondays and Thursdays, the sorrowful Tuesdays and Fridays, the Glorious on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

In the apostolic letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae of October 16, 2002, Pope John Paul II added a fourth set of mysteries: the mysteries of light for the public life of Jesus.

This implies, for those wanting to pray this new series of mysteries, that the pattern of the week is modified: they say the Luminous Mysteries on Thursday, with the joyful mysteries are pushed to Saturday, where they replace the glorious mysteries.

How to pray?

Well it must have at its disposal a string (see photo) or a small Dizainier (a cross over 10 beads).

the Rosary is recited rarely trafficked, it is customary instead to recite a rosary daily. People who have the grace to pray the Rosary daily complete their say three or four strings at different times of day.

to pray a rosary, it says the introduction and then series of mysteries.

The introduction is done by holding the Crucifix (bottom photo) and reciting the Apostles' Creed , to profess our faith.
It drags the string until the first bead (light on the photo), and here we pray one Our Father to honor the unity of God.
It then passes the first of three beads that follow, and they say a Hail Mary to honor God the Father, holding. It's the same with the other two beads, to honor God in succession the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We end by saying a Glory .

Then comes the series of mysteries. We move to the next bead (light on the photo).
For each mystery, then said his name, and the fruit to obtain. We can also read a short excerpt from the Gospel or short text related to the mystery concerned (see website Theotokos, for example).
then said a Our Father, ten Hail Mary (on the ten beads coming later), and a Glory .
It is common to end with the mystery of Fatima prayer and a prayer to St. Michael .
This is repeated until the end of the rosary.

It is important to pray the Rosary with love for God and the Blessed Virgin.
To pray with attention, consider that every prayer that is said may be the last of his life (you never know).
can obviously ask these graces of God.

Fruits of the Rosary are numerous. There are of course those we demand for each mystery. There is, first, the love of God and neighbor. There is a great inner peace. It is the knowledge of Jesus and his Mother and a close proximity with them. There are many others ...
