What's Good For Phlegm

Civitavecchia

On 2 February 1995, the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple and Purification of Mary, a small statue of the Virgin Mary began weeping blood in the garden of a family in the parish of St. Augustine, Civitavecchia (Rome).

The picture shows the "Queen of Peace" and comes from Medjugorje.

From February 2 to March 15, she cried fourteen times in the presence many people who gave their sworn testimony before the Theological Commission established by the Bishop. The last

tearing of blood occurred while the bishop of the diocese, Monsignor Girolamo Grillo, held her in his hands.

So he had to overcome skepticism in preparing the way for official recognition.

The statuette was scientifically examined with positive results. There was no trick or device hidden inside and the tears of human blood.

Finally, after so many external difficulties the fact itself, the Bishop has placed, June 17, 1995, the image in a hunt and he exposed for veneration by the faithful.

Since that day started a huge pilgrimage from all over the world and thousands of written testimonies, together with ex-voto "for the graces received, which show that the maternal intercession of all the casually refer" Madonnina di Civitavecchia.
